A Gossip Girl reunion has been teased for a while, and Ed Westwick (who you may recognise as Chuck Bass) is now revealing where he stands on getting back together with his castmates.
Ed was recently asked about a reunion in a new interview with Radio Times… but unfortunately it’s not good news.
“Nah, that’s not gonna happen,” Ed hit back when asked about the much talked about reunion. “I hear they’re doing Will and Grace, they’ve done Gilmore Girls. But it’s such a strange thing to think about.”
Westwick then went on to claim that he thinks the role of Chuck is “played out.” Ouch!
“It feels like we only just finished,” the Gossip Girl star continued. “I haven’t done enough in between yet to feel like I could comfortably revisit it. And I did so much with that character – it’s played out, man. It’s done.”
Ed’s shut down is dashing out hopes just weeks after Blake Lively admitted that she would actually be open to bringing the show back to life and reprising her role as Serena van der Woodsen.
Teasing that she would “never say never” when it comes to getting back together with her co-stars in an interview with Variety, Blake said, “I don’t know. Why not?”
“It sort of all depends,” Lively continued of a reprise in the interview back in April, but told the site that she wouldn’t be willing to go back full time and would only take part in a one off special as she’s pretty busy being a mum to her daughters Ines and James with husband Ryan Reynolds right now.
“I’ve just learned in life you never say never,” the actress continued. “…would I do that? Who knows — if it was good, if it made sense.”
