Glee stars pay tribute to Cory Monteith on 4th anniversary of his death

Cory Monteith’s Glee co-star shared emotional messages across social media in memory on the late actor on July 13.

Marking 4 years since the talented actor died, a number of his co-stars on the hit show shared photos and memories on social media to acknowledge the sad anniversary.

Heather Morris, who played Brittany S. Pierce posted an inspirational quote that read; “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die” with the hashtag “#TheQuarterback” which is what the cast called Cory.

“4 YEARS! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S BEEN 4 YEARS!! GONE WAY TO SOON!!” Dot Marie Jones, aka Coach Bieste, tweeted. “MISS MY BOY @CoryMonteith LOVE YOU MISS YOU!”

“We miss you #TheQuarterback,” Iqbal Theba, who played Principal Figgins, tweeted.

“The years seem to be going quicker. Cant believe it has been 4 years. Miss you bro,” Damien McGinty, who played Rory and got his role on the musical comedy through the spinoff The Glee Project, added.

Cinematographer Joaquin Sedillo also shared a message for the late star.

“A lot of deep breaths today. A lot of singular tears followed by smiles,” he tweeted. “I miss you Cory. You were a shining light. @CoryMonteith.”

But perhaps the most poignant message came from the late actor’s girlfriend, Lea Michele.

“Hard to believe it’s been 4 years… We miss you C… love you more,” Lea wrote on Twitter.

She the attached a photo of herself wearing Monteith’s Finn Hudson letterman jacket from the show while holding a black and white photo of the two in much happier times.

Lea and Cory dated for a year and a half and were still together when be died, leaving the actress completely devastated by his shocking and sudden death.

Cory passed away in a hotel room in Vancouver on July 13 2013 from an accidental toxic mix of heroin and alcohol.
