Fans of former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole were divided when images of her massive new tattoo first emerged on t’interweb, with many loving the intricate roses design, while others claimed it was “too much” and “ugly”.

And it seems that Cheryl’s Girls Aloud band mate Sarah Harding falls into the latter category in terms of her opinion of the inking…

The Daily Star reports, “SARAH HARDING will not be copying former bandmate Cheryl Cole and getting her bum covered in tattoos.

“The singer said she is not keen on the giant rose design covering 30-year-old Chezza’s entire backside.”

However, she added, “Rosy isn’t it? It gives a new meaning to rosy-cheeked.

“I know what used to be there. Only I knew, and the rest of the girls!”

She continued, “I don’t think I could do it. Each phoenix took about four hours. I could only do two hours at a time.”

Meanwhile, the paper also claims that comedian Russell Brand – who former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Lauren Harries claims she had a fling with – is evidently a fan of Cheryl’s tattoo, and the rest of her for that matter, as he’s apparently invited her along to watch him perform.

The article states, “He plans to woo her with his stand-up routine.”

A source close to Brand said, “Russell asked staff to send Cheryl two tickets for tonight’s Messiah Complex show in London.

“He even said he hopes she will bring her mum, Joan, along too, because he thinks she’s the key to winning Cheryl over.

“Russell reckons if she enjoys the show enough, she might consider going out on a date with him.

“It isn’t just a quick fling he’s looking for either. Like most men in the country, he’s always fancied her.”

Here’s a reminder of Cheryl on The Graham Norton Show alongside Russell’s ex-wife, Katy Perry…
