Simon Cowell is between girlfriends right now, so imagine his delight when he almost pulls on tomorrow night’s X Factor show.
When 80 year old Eileen takes the stage brimming with this confidence, Cheryl Cole picks up on her not so hidden passion for Simon Cowell.
“When you first came on there I seen you go ‘oh Simon’ was that right?”
Eileen confesses her love – “You’re hunky (to Simon) I’d love you for my joy boy”.
Delighted, the other Judges encourage this affection as Cheryl asks; “Do you want to come and give him a kiss?”
Simon meets her half way, “Are you ready for this?” asks Eileen, they hug and each receives a kiss on the cheek. Simon prepares her for her audition – “Now you got to be good”.
As Simon returns to the Judging desk her tells the others, “Love her”.
However Eileen’s performance doesn’t go too well. She tried singing ‘The Wonder Of You’ by Elvis and ‘Crazy’ by Patsy Cline but told The Argus:
“Simon told me off in the first one and said I sounded like a chipmunk and asked if I could sing Crazy a cappella.
“Then Simon asked if I could come back with a backing track.
“Friends of mine ran around to find a backing track, but then Simon said, ‘it isn’t anything to do with your voice’ but it was the worst backing track he had heard.
“When I went back again I blew it, because I started in the wrong key.
“But it was a wonderful day. All the staff were so friendly.
“The very first time I sang, Simon came on to the stage and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“He’s really hunky and even better in person than on the telly.
“I respect him the most for his honesty.”
