Global superstar Leona Lewis has revealed that although she’s more confident when she performs now, she still gets butterflies when she goes on stage – how sweet!

Taking part in a Q&A session on the official X Factor Twitter page earlier today, the singer also revealed that she’s already bought the judges their presents and we’ll see what she’s got them when she appears on the show next weekend. It’s safe to say it won’t be a crazy lady with a box of eggs as fortunately, Simon isn’t around…

One fan asked: “Do you ever still get nervous when you perform?” to which Leona replied: “I still get nervous every time I perform – and even though I feel more and more confident, I still get butterflies”.

Now, we know that being the angel she is, Leona doesn’t necessarily like to cause controversy, so when she was asked who her favourite contestant is (a backward way of asking ‘Who do you want to win?’) Lewis said:

In-keeping with the festive spirit, Leona confessed that she will be spending Christmas in Wales this year with her family and she is looking forward to “eating everything in the world!” and of course, seeing her family. Leona added that she spent Christmas in LA one year and she thought it was “weird because it was sunny”.

Leona is gearing up to release her fourth studio album and first Christmas album on Monday (December 2) titled ‘Christmas, with Love’. The lead single from the album ‘One More Sleep’ will be released on Sunday, December 1. I have to tell you that if you’ve not pre-ordered the album already, you may want to. It’s spectacular and one of the best Christmas albums I’ve heard in a good while.

Speaking about the album, Lewis said: “Well I’ve always wanted to do one, but Simon and I sat down and discussed it – and I thought the timing was right.”

To celebrate the release of Christmas, with Love, Leona will be performing on The X Factor next weekend.
