One Direction: 14 fans need medical treatment after freezing Montreal mania and Louis Tomlinson & girlfriend Eleanor Calder pictured in LA

It was a familiar sight when One Direction visited Canada earlier this week and once again, some fans were injured when thousands of them show up to support their favourite boyband.

However, the cause of the injuries were slightly different this time round, as the night before the boys were due to make an appearance in Montreal, more than 300 girls camped out from the night before, despite the temperatures falling to -10°C. 14 of the fangrils needing medical treatment as a result.

Hours before 1D showed up, police were called in once more and forced to close off streets and erect extra security barriers, as more than 2,000 screaming teenagers joined the crowd.

The boys received a similar welcome when they performed in Canada earlier this month, but this week they were back in the country to promote the Candaian release of their debut album ‘Up All Night.’

Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis and Zayn made an appearance on Musique Plus before travelling to Toronto for more promotional stops.

Niall Horan seems to be loving the trip and tweeted;

‘What’s the craic toronto, can’t get out of the leaba! Really like it here in canada ,good vibe everywhere!’

Meanwhile, on their return to America, Louis Tomlinson seemed to be taking some time to himself and out of his hectic schedule and was pictured strolling around LA yesterday, with his stunning girlfriend Eleanor Calder.

The model looked effortlessly beautiful in the photos and flew to America earlier this week, to catch up with her busy boyfriend between work commitments.

It seems that the pair have been having quite a giggle and yesterday, Louis tweeted:

‘So @EleanorJCalder just asked me if Randy Jackson was in the Jackson 5 …’

The boys are almost finished in the US and will soon jet out to Australia, where they will tour and make an appearance at the lLogie Awards.

They will be returning to The States in May, for their first ever headline tour of the country, in which they will be supported by fellow X Factor UK star Olly Murs.
