Earlier this morning we reported that One Direction have been teasing the release of the official music video for ‘Midnight Memories’ which has now been given a premiere date of 4pm GMT on Friday the 31st of January.

Stills from the video have been making their way around the various social networks to hype up the release of the official video next week.

Last night the group took to their official Twitter account and the heartthrobs officially confirmed when their fans will be able to get the first viewing of the video.

Fans won’t have to wait that long though as the group plan on releasing GIFs from the video just to tease everyone that little bit more.

Taking to Twitter they said:

“Oh, and another surprise for you! From tomorrow (January 26) at 4pm GMT, we’ll be revealing exclusive GIF’s from the NEW #MidnightMemoriesVideo! Just one more thing! The OFFICIAL #MidnightMemoriesVideo will go LIVE on Friday (January 31) at 4pm GMT!”

They then put focus on their Tumblr page and said: “If you keep an eye on our @Tumblr throughout today you might just see some #MidnightMemories pics! 1DHQ x”

Also last night Niall Horan took to his Twitter page and told fans that bandmate Liam Payne had an announcement to make in the form of a video regarding the single.

He tweeted: “Here is the Payno with some BIG news for you all!”

In the video Liam said: “Our next single is going to be ‘Midnight Memories’, which is actually one of the songs that I wrote with Louis (Tomlinson).”

“So this is the first song we wrote on the album, so it paved the way for this whole album’s sound. It’s a big, big tune and it’s all about the midnight memories – everybody’s got them – hope you enjoy it.”
