Simon Cowell is keen to throw fans and the media off his scent and so, when he hit the headlines this week, because of some unsavoury stories contained in a biography about his life, he responded by making some announcements about the new series of The X Factor.
Yesterday, the music mogul took to Twitter to reveal that Gary Barlow would be back for the 2012 run and the dad of three made a statement, about his comeback to the ITV show.
This afternoon, it was confirmed that the Take That star will also be joined by former N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos.
She spoke to Top Of The Pops magazine and leaked the news of her return, saying:
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to answer. I suppose it doesn’t really matter, so let’s just say (I’ve known for) quite a while. Would it be cheeky to say I think I did a good enough job to keep my place?”
On what fans can expect from her this year, after she brought girl group Little Mix to victory in 2011, Contostavlos added:
“I’m growing as a person, so you might see a change in me simply because I’m growing up, but I’m just going to be me. Whatever comes out, comes out.”
One thing helping Tulisa to grow up, is the legal battle she is facing with her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards. She believes it was her former boyfriend who released a sex tape of them both recently, though he denies the allegations.
She is currently in rehearsals and is on the brink of releasing her debut solo single ‘Young’, which Tulisa will be performing on a live episode of Britain’s Got Talent next month.
The brunette beauty tweeted:
“Excited to be performing young on Britain’s got talent next month!!! #Young #BGT”
Are you happy with this year’s X Factor panel as it stands? Cowell recently confirmed that he won’t be replacing Louis Walsh, so the last question mark hangs over Kelly Rowland’s head.
