X Factor reject Nicolo Festa has admitted that he blames neither the judges, nor his mentor for his elimination from the show last night.
The 21 year old student from Treviso, Italy was the first hopeful to be voted off the talent show, after his rendition of Lady Gaga’s Just Dance failed to impress half of the judging panel and obviously much of the British public.
Taking to his Twitter page this afternoon, the singer wrote that he entirely blames himself for his early departure. He tweeted:
“I blame only myself for being out of the show, and I’ve said it a thousand times today. Dontchu put words in my mouth yall, I’m a muthafucka.”
As he returned to the X Factor house to pack up his belongings, the sad star wrote:
“I hate packing I never know what to put in the bag. I wonder what the weather’s like in #thefiresofMordor”
In an earlier interview with This Morning, Nicolo admitted that he may have sang the wrong song and said that Cheryl Cole was right to criticise his styling and big sunglasses, because they stopped him connecting with the viewers. He told Phillip and Holly:
I haven’t watched the performance back, I don’t think I will but I have a feeling that it was very entertaining but it was wrong. I think the song was wrong, I think it was a little over the top, it was a great production but maybe not for the first show. The glasses were totally wrong and I totally understand Cheryl’s comment.
During rehearsals I was very tired and my eyes were swollen and red, so the glasses were a mutual idea. But we didn’t think about the connection with the people at home.
