X Factor 2011 Results Show: Rihanna wears tartan for “We Found Love“ (VIDEO)

Rihanna returned to the X Factor stage tonight for a performance of her latest single “We Found Love“.

The Barbadian star caused quite the ruckus when she appeared on the series last year, as her skimpy stage costume and suggestive dance routine prompted thousands of complaints to OFCOM and ITV, because it aired before the watershed.

As a result, X Factor bosses were warned to tone things down on their 2011 run and we were interested to see if Rihanna would comply with her performance.

Tonight, she took to the stage with certainly more clothes on and modelled a cute little tartan dress which looked like something a tiny schoolgirl would wear to a birthday party!

We loved the cute black bow head band too and all in all, we think Rihanna stayed within the bounds of decency this evening.

The performance was a great one too – even if it was practically identical to the one she did on X Factor USA earlier in the week – and we just can’t get enough of this song at the minute. Even if it was shot in our homeland of Northern Ireland and even if she is referring to the province as a ‘hopeless place!’

However the UK couldn’t be that bad, because after her performance, Rihanna confessed that she almost moved to England this year. She told Dermot O’Leary:

I almost moved here this year, I had so many shows that I thought maybe I should just live here.

It was a double celebration for the star too, as earlier tonight she had returned to the top of the UK singles chart with the track. The triumph made her the artist who has now spent the most time at the top of the chart this year, beating Adele in the process.

“We Found Love“ is the first single from from Rihanna’s sixth studio album ‘Talk That Talk’. Did you enjoy the performance tonight? Leave your comments below.
