X Factor 2012: Jahmene Douglas & Nicole Scherzinger for homecoming concert in Swindon on Wednesday – Details!

Jahmene Douglas is heading home!

The 21 year old won himself a place in this year’s X Factor final last night, after Union J were voted off the show, leaving him, Christopher Maloney and James Arthur fighting it out for the title.

The former shelf stacker will be heading to Swindon on Wednesday with his mentor Nicole Scherzinger, as a way of thanking all the local fans that have been voting for him and kept him out of the bottom two so far and also in a bid to whip up support and increase his votes going ahead into this all important weekend.

Jahmene and Nicole are set to perform together in Swindon on Wednesday, where they will also switch on the town’s Christmas lights during their visit.

The event and concert will kick off at 5pm in Wharf Green on December 5.

Simon Jackson Chief Executive of inSwindon said: “It’s fantastic that we have managed to secure Jahmene to be part of the celebrations.

“Jahmene’s achievement so far just adds to the fantastic accomplishments 2012 has seen. The whole of Swindon is behind Jahmene so it’s our pleasure to have him part of our light switch-on.”

“Can’t believe I’ve made it through this far ! It’s only because of you all and I can’t express how grateful I am .. Only through song <3”

He was sad to see Union J leaving though and added:

“Every now and then you meet a group of extremely decent people.. Can’t wait to spend the tour with @UnionJworld #biglove <3”
