X Factor 2012: Nicole Scherzinger just loves her fellow judges and Simon Cowell misses being on the UK show

There has of course been much speculation that X Factor judges Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos don’t get on…

And it’s also been reported that Nicole and Gary Barlow have some “tensions” over the fact that Simon Cowell gave the honorary title of Head Judge to Nicole and not Gary.

However, according to Nicole, she just plain loves everyone on the judging panel, and while discussing her fellow judges, she began by saying that Louis Walsh had given her the confidence to be on the show.

Grazia magazine report that she said, ‘”Louis gave me the confidence to think I could do this show.

“We go out for dinner, we gossip, we talk serious stuff, he’s remarkable.”

Well his magical miracle mop of hair is remarkable for sure…

However, of Tulisa, Nicole gushed, “Tulisa’s great, she’s my friend.

“She’s the one I can kick back and have a glass of wine with. I’ve got her back.”

She added, “When Gary called her ‘fag breath’, I was the one who dragged him over off air and told him to sort it out. He did, he went and apologized.

“I was also confused because fag means a whole bunch of other stuff where I come from.”

And finally, of Gary, Nicole said, “Gary and I talk music. I respect him but we don’t hang out because he’s spending all his spare time with his family.”

Meanwhile, while responding to a fan on Twitter, Simon Cowell has revealed that he misses the UK show – he is of course a judge on X Factor USA – and would love to return.

He wrote, “I would love to [return]. I really miss not being on the show.”

And of course, it’s been claimed recently that Simon may well be back next year – which may be the show’s final year if Sinitta is to be believed – in a bid to win back viewers.

A show insider told TV Biz, “Everyone is worried about the ratings, particularly Simon. Something has to be done.

“Producers have known for some time they’ve had a problem with the main show and have decided to bring in chart-topping acts with a big following to boost ratings.”

Simon is hoping that by signing up One Direction to perform this week, viewers will be back in their droves.

Of that, the insider said, “If anyone can save the Saturday show, it is One Direction, with their massive following.

“They are the biggest X Factor act ever and everyone hopes they will bring some of their fans with them.

“Simon always wants his shows to be number one and this is no different. He’ll do everything it takes to put The X Factor back on top.”
