X Factor 2012: Simon Cowell mixing things up between Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell?

The X Factor auditions haven’t even started, the full judging panel hasn’t even been announced and already the stars are bickering.

Insiders say Louis Walsh is irritated with show boss Simon Cowell and his fellow judge Gary Barlow, after they both publicly mocked him yesterday.

ITV confirmed this week that the Irish star would be back on the show for an impressive ninth series. He is elated to have kept his seat on the ever changing panel, however not so happy with the reactions of the other men involved.

Announcing Louis’ return, Simon made a statement saying:

“I hope he has an opportunity this year to show what an astute manager he is.”

Gary Barlow rubbed salt in the wound, tweeting:

“I hear there’s a lovely lad from Ireland joining me. Congrats Louis! One of these years you’ll be head judge.”

Sources say that Gary’s leadership of the panel offends Louis, since he has been around the longest and thinks he deserves to be top dog. It is also a huge source of embarrassment for him that he normally works with the groups and the one year he didn’t, a girl group won for the first time in 2011.

A source told The Sun:

“It was always a sore point for Louis that he wasn’t made head judge when Simon left last year and Gary was given the mantle instead.

“And Simon’s comment means, by implication, that he wasn’t an astute manager in previous years.”

The auditions for this year’s X Factor series star on March 23rd in Liverpool and so far, along with Louis and Gary it looks like Tulisa Contostavlos is also set to return.

Kelly Rowland will not be back and as yet, ITV have not revealed who her replacement will be. Katy Perry, Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue have all been linked to the role.
