X Factor 2012: Simon Cowell sends in a “healer” to cleanse negative energy on XF while Rylan Clark reveals he wants to be Gary Barlow’s mate!

As we reported a couple of weeks ago, X Factor supremo Simon Cowell brought in a “healer” to rid his home of “negative energy” and he was apparently so impressed with the results, he decided to repeat the exercise backstage on X Factor UK…

He reportedly ordered the show’s producers to hire healer Hazel Taylor to “get rid of all the negative energy and give the wannabes battling it out on the show a boost.”

The move comes after a week of turmoil backstage following last Sunday’s drama which of course saw judge Gary Barlow storming out of the studio when his act Carolynne Poole was eliminated from the contest.

Of his spiritual intervention, Simon told TV Biz “I have to say the house healer did a great job…

“I did it because if you believe something can make you feel happier then try it.

“Two people came round and said the house felt different. So you never know.”

And it seems that the show’s producers were more than happy to give the healing a whirl with one remarking, “We need all the help we can get.

“You can cut the atmosphere with a knife so the healer was brought in to try and see off the bad energy and bring the fun back.

“Hopefully, all of the last week’s negativity will be over and we can have a laugh again.”

And it seems that Rylan Clark, who was of course saved last week, is hoping that it works too, and that he might end up being mates with Gary, despite the fact that Gary has been fairly brutal in his criticism of Rylan.

Rylan said, “I have absolute respect for Gary as a mentor and as a musician.

“I really want to win him over. I don’t want there to be a war between us.

“I reckon by the end of the series we’ll be bessie mates – move over Robbie, I am taking your place.”

The X Factor continues on ITV1 tonight at 8.20pm.
