In last night’s penultimate X Factor auditions show, we met stunning singer Jade Ellis – and her gorgeous little daughter – who wowed the judges and the audience with her rendition of Maverick Sabre track, Something Good.
However, in today’s Mirror, Jade has revealed that she’s just glad that new judge Nicole Scherzinger wasn’t on the judging panel the day she auditioned, because she has a crush on her!
Jade made the remark after revealing that she’s gay, and though she conceded that judge Tulisa is “pretty”, she said Nicole is much more her type.
She said, “Tulisa’s pretty but Nicole is more my type. I hope I get Gary or Tulisa as my mentor. Nicole might be distracting.”
25 year old Jade jokingly added, “They only pick really beautiful women for the judges’ panel…”
As we heard during Jade’s audition last night, she had put her aspirations to become a star on hold at the age of 19, when she had her daughter.
But she has no regrets and loves being a mum. She said, “I just love being with my daughter.
“She’s 6 years old, her name is Cayden and we love going to the park, we go for bike rides a lot.
“Being a mum, I wasn’t sure how I was going to take to it at first…
“Obviously being quite young, I wasn’t sure if I was really mature enough, but as soon as I had her it was amazing.
“It was just like ‘I’m a mum’, it just felt natural.”
Jade went on to reveal that if she’s successful on the show, she’d like to buy a house with a garden for her daughter to play in.
She added, “I actually live in a very tall flat, like a tower block. I’m on the 8th floor, and there is a lift, but it generally breaks down quite a lot.
“I’ve been stuck in there a few times.”
Well fingers crossed she’ll get her dream house soon. She has such a fabulous voice doesn’t she? Here’s a reminder of her audition…
