X Factor 2013 bootcamp spoilers: Sharon Osbourne blasts ‘wimps’ in overs & decides on last minute change for judges houses!

Sharon Osbourne wreaked havoc amongst the singers in her category when she presided over their auditions at bootcamp recently.

Mrs O has returned to the ITV show for one series only and contestants should have known exactly what to expect, as the reality TV star is famed for her direct nature and distinct lack of bulls**t.

The mum of three didn’t disappoint when the final 200 acts returned to London’s Wembley Arena over the summer and at the end of the five day stretch, she was informed that she would be mentoring the over 25s this year and was then responsible for choosing the last six that would progress to judges’ houses.

In a cruel twist to the format, bosses introduced a new humiliating stage and after each contestant sang, their judge decided whether to keep them or send them home in front of the 4,000 audience. If they were lucky, they go to take a seat in one of six chairs at the side of the stage, but even then they weren’t safe and if a more talented singer performed later, the other hopefuls could be bumped and eliminated.

Despite the harrowing nature of the tryouts, Shaz still didn’t take it easy on her contestants – who included Joseph Whelan, Sam Bailey, Shelley Smith and Zoe Devlin – and after one performance from the overs she blasted a wannabe yelling:

“I don’t want wimps, I need somebody strong!”

Later she revealed that she was swapping out someone from the seats for a new singer and the teaser clip below shows her announcing:

“The person that is going to lose their seat tonight…”

We don’t know who she picked but Nicole Scherzinger sure looked shocked!

Sharon later took her final six, as chosen at bootcamp, to her judges’ houses round in LA, where they were met by Robbie Williams and whittled down to just three for the live shows.

If all this has whet your appetite, then you’re going to want to tune into the X Factor at 8PM on Saturday night for the first of this weekend’s bootcamp shows and we can promise you, there is going to be tears and drama galore!
