We thought that Nicole Scherzinger would be happy with the category that she has this year, but instead she reckons they’re ‘depressing’ and ‘uninspiring’ – oh my!
This weekend, The X Factor storms on through to Bootcamp which has had a little makeover! The judges know their categories this year before Bootcamp (as opposed to knowing just before judges houses). This year, the gang choose who they want to go through to the next round, knowing exactly what category they have… but it’s still left Nicole Scherzinger feeling a tad deflated.
Ahem SPOILER ALERT, as we know now Nicole Scherzinger has the girls this year and the category has always had a good record on the show. The girls normally go far but Scherzinger ain’t happy and tells her girlies that they need to grow some balls… metaphorically, of course.
Last year, Scherzinger stormed to victory after James Arthur won the show. Jahmene Douglas also made it to the finals last year, whom was also in her category. And this year, she won’t settle for anything less. She wants one of her category to go on and win the show again.
On tonight’s show, she tears into the girls backstage telling them that their last performance “pi**ed” her off and tells them not to waste her time if they can’t be bothered – MEOW! Put them claws away Scherzy!
“Girls, you watching these auditions? Not in the best mood right now,” she tells them “The last performance pi**ed me off. Please don’t waste my time. Because I care too much. You need to know what you’re singing about and focus on that song, singing it with all your heart, or else I will not care and they will not care and you will not get through today”.
There’s nothing like a bit of tough love, is there Nicole?
She continued on her rampage: “Tough love, okay! Kick some butt and grow some balls”.
Meanwhile, last year’s winner James Arthur has pushed back the release date of his debut single as he’s suffering from a bit of man flu.
Well… it’s a bit more serious than man flu actually. Arthur has a vocal cord infection (a sore throat to you and I) which has prevented him from doing any sort of promo work. Therefore, the best thing to do was to push the single release back until he can do some proper promo.
“Unfortunately, we had a setback in release dates and when the song would go to radio because I got an infection on my vocal chords,” Arthur explained to his fans via a Vevo video.
He continued: “I can’t perform to my maximum ability and that unfortunately pushes promo and stuff like that back”.
Arthur went on to say that he anticipates the single will hit radio “in a couple of weeks”, adding “Hopefully it will smash people in the face and they’ll love it”.
You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You is the title of James’ first single and will be released on October 20. His debut album will be released two weeks after on November 4.
The X Factor continues this evening at 8:20pm on ITV/HD.
