Rylan Clark has admitted that he would love to see Nicole Scherzinger returning to the X Factor this year.
The flamboyant singer competed on the ITV show last year, only because Nic chose him at judges houses and mentored him throughout the series and he thinks the new batch of hopefuls could benefit from her years of experience.
The Essex born star, who went on to win Celebrity Big Brother, claimed the ‘Poison’ hitmaker
made the X Factor last year and was the best thing about the singing competition. He told Metro:
“I think Nicole should stay. I think she made The X Factor last year. I think she is the most amazing mentor anyone could ask for.”
“I am still very good friends with her. I hope she comes back. I wouldn’t rule it out.”
Scherzinger was fully expected to return to the ITV show for it’s 2013 run, however it has recently been reported that she is torn between her TV career and her new music.
Insiders have claimed that she is holding off from singing her deal and that her failure to do so, will be the only way Tulisa is allowed to return to the panel.
Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh are believed to be returning, when the judges auditions start this month.
Olly Murs confirmed that he is leaving the Xtra Factor, and instantly insiders linked Rylan to the role.
He refused to confirm or deny the reports, only saying:
“There are a lot of rumours going about. I have no idea what I am doing yet.”
“Obviously I am flattered because I have just come off The X Factor and if I am being rumoured to be part of Xtra Factor then that is amazing, it’s something I’d love to do but nothing is official.”
Rylan has also been linked to Channel 5’s Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
He is missing his time in the Celebrity Big Brother house though and added:
“Watching an EP of Celebrity Big brother . I had the best time in there. Just watching it back takes me back there x”
