Fabulous X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has often tested the boundaries of socially acceptable conduct, and just as often merely laughs in the face of criticism when she’s accused of being a tad too OTT or of providing information best filed under TMI…

In the last few months, we’ve heard that Sharon plonked her boobs in Piers Morgan’s face, and that – albeit in error – she asked Robbie Williams, while believing she was on the phone to her husband Ozzy, “Are you naked daddy?”

But clearly those details weren’t enough to hurl into the public arena, and during Sharon’s appearance on The Graham Norton show, when talk turned to cosmetic surgery, Mrs O revealed that having vaginoplasty was “the most excruciating” of all the surgical interventions she’s undergone…

Also entitled Vaginal Rejuvenation, the procedure involves – in a nutshell – tightening up a woman’s undercarriage, which, after having had children can often resemble a wizard’s sleeve…

One description of a post-partum lady part that I especially enjoyed hearing once was, “It was like waving a flag in an empty stadium.”

However, of her experience of the surgery, Sharon said, “Having my vagina tightened was the worst.”

“Oh, it was just excruciating,” and when fellow guest Colin Farrell wanted to know more, Sharon quipped, “I’ll show you later.”

And when asked if having the op was worth the pain she endured, Sharon said, “My husband thinks so.

“It’s back the way God wanted it to be.”

Comedian Jo Brand joked, “I did mine with a sewing machine.”

Well, I say ‘joked’, but who knows?

But on a more serious note, during her appearance on the show, Sharon revealed that the biggest regret she has is having spent so much time away from her kids during her career.

She said, “We both worked to continue a lifestyle we had become accustomed to and we had to travel so my kids spent quite a time away from us and you can never get that time back.

“It was the biggest mistake I ever did, but would I have wanted to live a lesser life? You make the most of what you have.

“I don’t know how, but Jack and Kelly came out just great.”
