We reported recently that the X Factor judges, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh found out which categories they would mentor this year before Boot Camp began…
They were originally supposed to find out who they’d be mentoring from X Factor boss Simon Cowell – in person while aboard his luxury yacht – but that plan was abandoned amid his baby drama.
However, it’s been revealed today where the judges will take their acts for the Judges’ Houses rounds, and we have those spoilers for you after the jump…
The Sun’s TV Biz reports that the Judges’ Houses rounds will be as follows:
Nicole Scherzinger to fly girls to Antigua
Gary Barlow will decide groups in New York
Sharon Osbourne to choose over-25s in LA
Louis Walsh to pick male singers in France
But as we reported earlier this week, Gary faces something of a headache over returned boy band Rough Copy as yet again, one of the band’s members has run into issues over his visa, so may not join his band mates, and Gary, in New York for the Judges’ Houses round.
We will however keep you posted on any developments with that. In the meantime, the paper also revealed who will be the judges’ assistants this year…
As fans of the show will know, each year, the judges choose a music VIP – or two, in Louis’ case this year – to join them at their Judge’s House to help with whittling the acts down to those who will go through to the live shows…
And so far, Nicole has chosen singing legend Mary J Blige as her helper, while Louis has picked Westlife’s Shane Filan and Sharon’s daughter Kelly to assist him.
Gary has reportedly picked former X Factor finalist and Xtra Factor host Olly Murs to assist him, but apparently, Sharon has yet to decide on who’ll join her in LA to choose her acts.
But getting back to the locations of this year’s Judges’ Houses rounds, a show source said, “Once again, bosses have pulled out all the stops and have chosen some glamorous locations for judges’ houses.
“It’s always a head-scratcher each year to think of somewhere that will have a great backdrop to film this crucial stage against.
“We’ve never done the sky-scrapers of Manhattan, so that will be a huge treat for the groups.
“And Antigua speaks for itself — lush palm trees and perfect white sandy beaches.”
However last night an X Factor spokesman said, “We have yet to confirm details of the judges’ houses.
“The first people we will tell will be the contestants.”
We’ll keep you posted when we hear more, but for now, here’s a look at the latest promo for the show…
