It was revealed this week that Simon Cowell has signed X factor singers 5 After Midnight to his SYCO record label. Now that they have a deal the lads are hoping they can hook up with Little Mix for a song.
They have revealed that during the planning for their debut album they are working towards a number of collaborations. Top of their wish list is Leigh Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards.
The boys may not have spoken or even had an email from their new boss yet, but they’re hoping he can use his magic to set them up with the former X Factor winners. They told The Daily Star: “It would be really cool to get a girl group and boyband together. Especially when we both dance. We could do a great performance.”
5 After Midnight are pretty busy at the minute. They are rushing to get their debut single and album finished, before they go on tour at the end of this month.
It’s been confirmed that they’re planning to drop their first song as soon as March, while they’re on the road with Matt Terry, Saara Aalto etc. The band added:
“We started in the studio this week. The plan is to have the first single out around the end of March and then the album to follow soon after.
“It depends how long it takes but definitely by the end of the year.”
We aren’t sure how Little Mix will feel about working with the newcomers. The ladies have been able to align themselves with industry leaders like Jason Derulo and Missy Elliot in recent years. Would working with 5 After Midnight be something of a step back?
