The forthcoming series of The X Factor UK promises to be a big one, especially with the return of Simon Cowell.
But, what’s more, Olly Murs wants YOU to audition for the show, and we can’t see why we’d never do something Olly tells us…
In the latest ‘please audition for our show’ video on the official X Factor UK YouTube page, Olly Murs says that his first audition changed his life and now he gets to perform as a job (see video below). That could be you… you could be the next Olly Murs in a couple of months time.
We’d just apply to have Cheryl Cole judge us. Well, that’s if she returns, anyway.
Elsewhere, X Factor finalist Misha B is set to launch her own record label this year, which will be used to launch her own music.
Misha, who was eliminated in the final week of the eighth series of The X Factor back in 2011 will launch her own record label later this year, even though she hasn’t released a full album as of yet.
We have seen artists set up their own labels in the past, but since Misha only has little experience in the industry, without even a full-length album under her belt, we’re not sure how it’s going to go without any sort of huge backing.
The singer previously signed with Relentless Records, but has since parted ways with the record label, which has prompted her to set up her own this year called Emboom. She will release her new EP on via the label.
Speaking about the decision, Misha said that there comes a point in life where you’re faced with a new door, “and being individual has always been something” that she’s passionate about. Setting up her own label will give her the free time and space that she needs.
Not only that, Misha is keeping herself busy as she recently choreographed and directed a video in Manchester for her Room 303 EP which will be released later this year. She’s also working on a new clothing line.
Ultimately, Misha would like to sign new and upcoming artists to her record label in the future, along with focusing on hew own clothing line.
“Fashon and style is a big part of me and people will be able to share my look,” she told Manchester Evening News.
At the moment, a debut album isn’t on the cards for Misha as she is takings things “step by step”. However, we have seen Misha release a free Mixtape and she will also release a new EP later this year which features six brand new tracks, along with a seventh bonus track.
Meanwhile, Matt Cardle is finally back on his feet as it has been announced that he will open Saffron Walden Carnival this July.
Cambridge News reports that the singer will kick off the eight day event on Saffron Walden Common on Friday, July 4.
Jason Thomson, Carnival Chairman said that he couldn’t think of any better way than to open the carnival than “with a local treasure” like Matt Cardle.
He went on to add that the carnival will have “something for everyone” when it kicks off on Friday, July 4 and will run right through to July 12.
So, what do you make of Misha B setting up her own record label so early on in her career? & are you glad that Matt Cardle is back on his feet?
