The holiday period is always the time that you should spend with your family, and we always feel sad for those that can’t be around their family during the festive period.

Therefore, we were distraught when we found out that Nicole Scherzinger spent Thanksgiving in the UK, on her own with just a social networking website to keep her company…

The X Factor judge has revealed that she has missed her family over the past six months or so, whilst filming The X Factor in the UK. Subsequently, she ended up missing Thanksgiving back in November as she was busy with The X Factor live shows.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the singer said that being in the UK is “not the same” as she misses home and her family.

It was rumoured at one point that she spent the day with her ex Lewis Hamilton, but that didn’t come across in the interview.

She said: “It’s not the same – I miss home and I miss my family.

“I was looking at all my friends’ Instagram accounts and everybody was posing with Turkeys. Thanksgiving is as big as Christmas in America so I do miss my family, but I draw close to my friends and family here”.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Nicole Scherzinger may not return to The X Factor judging panel next year.

There’s been some umming and ahhing over whether she will return and it’s said we were lucky to have her back on the show this year.

But, it was hinted at earlier this month that Nicole will front fashion brand, Missguided, which may prevent her from appearing on the show as a judge next year.

A source close to Scherzy said at the time: “Missguided think she could be great for the brand and fashion is something she wants to get into.

“Nothing has been signed for next year’s X Factor and it’s likely that she won’t be going back”.

We’ll be sad to see her go, but the rumours of Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell returning are keeping up happy, for now.
