X Factor’s Tulisa Contostavlos to perform ‘Young’ on Britain’s Got Talent 2012 live shows and at G-A-Y

Simon Cowell is great at the whole cross promotion thing and today it has been reported that he has offered X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos the chance to perform on one of the upcoming Britain’s Got Talent live shows.

Last year the music mogul was criticised for featuring too many acts from his own label and own shows on The X Factor, but it seems that pattern is set to continue, as reports suggest that Tulisa will be performing her new single ‘Young’ on the ITV series next month.

Tulisa has already reportedly signed for the 2012 X Factor series, but before she begins work on the new run, she’ll be focusing on her new solo music career.

She confirmed today that she will be performing ‘Young’ live on the ITV show, but first she’ll be taking to the stage in London club G-A-Y to perform the track.

She tweeted:

“My first ever solo performance 28th April @ G-A-Y London!!!! Come and parrrrrrrrty! X”

Contostavlos admitted that she is nervous about performing in front of The X Factor boss Simon for the first time, but insiders say he is being very supportive of the brunette beauty.

“Simon is a big fan of Tulisa and is excited to have her on the show,” a source told The Sun. “He wants her to hold her head high and put in a storming performance.”

The song is the first to be taken from Tulisa’s debut solo album, which will be released later this year.

‘Young’ is the lead single from Tulisa’s upcoming debut solo album and the track was produced by her ex boyfriend Richard ‘Fazer’ Rawson and written by Peter Ibsen, Ali Tennant and Fazer.

The official music video for ‘Young’ was filmed on 2 March in Miami, just weeks before her big sex tape scandal.
